Burberry presents its new Summer 2012 Eyewear campaign, featuring a cast of British musicians, starting with One Night Only.
As part of the campaign, the acts recorded tracks exclusively for Burberry, with accompanying exclusive music videos filmed on set in London, under the direction of Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey.
The campaign features iconic eyewear styles and encapsulates the spirit and energy of the brand, music and the British summer.
Burberry`s Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign features British cast Eddie Redmayne and Cara Delevingne.
"We wanted to capture a moment in the lives of two exciting and inspiring British actors who have been part of the Burberry family for several years. The images reflect the mood of the collection through Eddie's and Cara's energy, playfulness and effortless elegance and I have such huge admiration for them both." explains Christopher Bailey.
Eddie Redmayne has already been featured in the Burberry Spring/Summer 2008 ad campaign.
Cara Delevingne has been featured in the Spring/Summer 2011 ad campaign and Burberry Beauty campaign, as well as Burberry Prorsum runway shows.
“I have worked with Burberry before and it’s always a fantastic experience. Christopher wanted something playful from the shoot and so Cara and I had a genius couple of days fooling around. Hopefully the enjoyment we had is reflected in the campaign.” tells Eddie Redmayne.
Asked about Christopher Bailey, Cara says: "As a designer I think Christopher is one of the best. In addition, as a person, he is also the kindest, most easy going, funny, talented and creative person I have had the pleasure to work with. He makes my job so enjoyable and I always leave work with a smile on my face. Burberry is the quintessential British label and also one of the most innovative and forward thinking, I love it."
Eddie adds: “I am a huge fan of Christopher Bailey. He is a brilliant designer and a brilliant man. The fashion world can be a tad intimidating but Christopher remains a kind, grounded gem of a man.
Behind the Scenes
Shot in London, the campaign reinforces the brand’s heritage in protection from the weather, showcasing outerwear including trench coats and parkas.
The ad campaign was shot by Mario Testino.
Cara had fun shooting the campaign; "This is my second season doing Burberry and once again I am so happy to be involved with such an amazing campaign. This time round there is only Eddie and I so with Mario and Christopher we got to play around more with ideas and storylines. As always I had such a good time and was very sad when it was over."
'I always say that the right dress in the right moment can change a woman’s life. A Cavalli dress, a drop of the Cavalli fragrance and a strong personality will ensure a woman won’t go unnoticed and to draw the attention to herself.' says Roberto Cavalli.
The fragrance belongs to the ambery floral family. It is an exuberant and sunny fragrance whose top notes, lit by pink peppers, exude a genuine strength of character. Vibrant and sensual, it exhilarates and mesmerises from the very first contact.
At the heart of the perfume one finds all the majesty of the absolute of orange blossom. It is a colour as much as a scent that reveals an ultra-feminine trail and leaves no-one indifferent.
This sensuality finally wraps itself into the captivating base notes of the Tonka bean that leaves an appetizing imprint on the skin.
Seduction inspires the campaign for the new Roberto Cavalli fragrance.
A mysterious, intriguing, elegant, glamorous story told in enchanting, sensual images. Elisa Sednaoui stars in a role play where the woman creates her own destiny.
The location for this story of seduction is a sumptuous and aristocratic Italian Palazzo, close to Rome. The interiors allow director Johan Renck to masterfully capture the essence of the Cavalli woman through spectacular filming.
A naked Elisa awakes in her bed in one of the rooms in the Palazzo and, with seductive feline moves, sprinkles a few drops of fragrance onto her neck and back, then pulls on a fabulous tiger-striped dress. The final touch is a necklace bearing a talisman.
Her next apparition is at an exclusive party on a summer night, where guests exchange nothing but looks and whispered words as they meet and mingle. Nobody is expecting the arrival of this superior surreal creature. With feline grace and the energy of a rebellious being, Elisa crosses the courtyard of the Palazzo to reach the party, while the image of a tiger, the alter ego of the Cavalli woman, materialises and accompanies her into the centre of the human universe.
Silk dresses her, gold adorns her neck, and the perfume transports her. Her dress covers and uncovers her, preceding and following her like an impregnable wave.
Elisa lingers a moment, before making her entrance, the event the whole party is waiting for. She attracts the gaze of all those present, who recognise in her a woman who steals the limelight on the stage of life.
All her lovers shunned, Elisa walks into the spotlight and the mood turns vibrant. Warmth invades the air and life becomes a show. Men and women are irresistibly drawn to this charismatic sensual female.
Elisa picks him out among the guests: this is the man she wants to capture.
She heads towards him, pulls the magic talisman from her neck and throws it at her prey. Hypnotised by the seductive essence of the Cavalli woman, he is the envy of all. She doesn’t go unnoticed.

I agree that a perfume is as important as a dress to feel sexy. A fragrance you love lifts you up and adds that "invisible, final touch" to your look and personality. It indeed takes the right fragrance (among other things) to create your own destiny.
How do you like the campaign? Girls, can you identify with the confident, sexy seductress? Boys, would you fall for her?

An endless summer played out to the eternal rhythms of a nature full of wonders, lit up by flashes of colour, triggered by the sun and caressed by the fragrance of exotic flora. Light blends with tactile sensations to create an absolute beauty that knows no compromise.
“Gisele is the ideal woman to embody this Spring-Summer collection: extraordinary beauty and allure, naturally sophisticated at the same time. I’ve known Noah for ages: I couldn’t see any other man by Gisele's side, equalling her force and sensuality while maintaining unaltered elegance. And I wasn’t wrong: they’re magnificent in Mikael’s photos. He realized my vision, catching their very souls in a masterpiece of seduction, colour and light! Through their talents in beauty, my longstanding friends Tom and Luigi translated my aesthetic dream into reality!” explains Salvatore Ferragamo`s Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti.

The new Roberto Cavalli advertising campaign for Spring/Summer 2012 revolves around the iconic beauty of four Supermodels: Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld are the Florentine designer’s muses, as he chose to represent the collection through women who embody the standards of a modern appeal.
Steven Meisel shot the campaign in the studios situated on Pier 59 in New York, set against a monochromatic background which emphasises the splendour of the printed silk dresses and the garments, illuminated by golden embroidery and sumptuous embellishments. The make up was done by Pat McGrath.

A static equilibrium, a structured form that creates a perfect geometry, with Naomi Campbell capturing attention with her magnetic gaze, bright and sensual. An extremely sophisticated and feminine vision.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is my favourite campaign S/S 12!
It is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT; it features four stunning Supermodels, representing different types of women in different ages, in breathtaking dresses. It is shot by my favourite photographer, who knows that 'the perfect woman' in the perfect dress doesn`t need any further addition. I love that this campaign doesn`t try to manipulate me by adding 'lifestyle scenes' or 'emotional promises'. This campaign fully stands on its own, shining and impressing with what it is: pure luxury. The world`s most beautiful women wearing stunning gowns being shot by one of the best fashion photographers of our time. Once again, Roberto Cavalli shows his true understanding of beauty and it`s perfect staging by picking only the best of everything, reminding us that luxury is not just in the opulent surface but runs deep.
